The carb heat doesn't work, and there's no suction gauge, although one could argue the attitude indicator could be electric? I never flew a Seminole but saw a lot of them where I did my flight training. I do fly this a lot in the flight simulator, nice to hear from a pilot who has flown one. This particular Seminole is older model than the one you have been in, hence the landing light difference and the instrument panel setup. This is actually more in line with the typical panels I dealt with in the early 2000's. Thanks for your perspective! 👍

Great review man. I used Harvs air for Faa to TCCA conversion cpl and ifr. It’s was decent. I’ve also heard that the wise pilot is good also

You can think of a fixed piched propeller as a car that is stuck in Second or third gear. Second is great for circuits and climbing, but lower top speed. Third gear is sliwer to accelerate and climb, but great for cruising.

I know this is a very old video but would suggest having your heading bug setup to runway heading in case everything goes to pot and you become totally discombobulated, all you have to do is hit hit heading bug on autopilot to bail out of VOR (ILS) approach add throttle and ease yoke back for a missed approach....the heading bug will at least help to keep wings straight and level while you get your head and thoughts back together.

Failures in the simulator have been cut down due to license agreements. Allot of manufacturers don’t want their aircraft to be able to fail, be shown crashing or being in flames, etc. I expect the same for 2024. Sim loading time to get to the main menu has nothing to do with your graphics card. Do you have a M.2 or SSD? Night and day difference between a HDD and a M.2 drive I timed it, and it takes me 1 minute and 7 seconds to get to the main menu, and that's with 80 addons (227.15 GB). Also, you can skip the two loading screens in the beginning by running a cmd or using MSFS Addon Linker, which can save you a few seconds. DCS model wouldn't work for numerous reasons, but one big and obvious one would be that MSFS is already pushing the limits of the current game engine. The game engine they used in MSFS 2024 is supposedly upgraded from the one in MSFS 2020. DCS is stuck with their Eagle Dynamics Graphic Engine, which works really well for DCS, so there's no need to upgrade it vs MSFS, which constantly needs to be working on an upgraded engine, which means they constantly need to release a new flight sim every few years.

Why do all modern/new games seem to have optimisation issues and lacking features? Same thing with Cities:Skylines II.

When decreasing power after take off, at 1100' elevation, you reduce prop pitch RPM before manifold pressure. Isn't this the reverse of what you recommended earlier in the video?

On a complex airplane, full throttle is not full power unless the prop is turning at maximum RPM. The formula for shaft horsepower is; Torque x Prop RPM x .00019=Shaft Horsepower. From the formula, it can be seen that if max RPM is not set, max power will not be achieved. Also, with the prop turning at high rpm, the blades are at a finer angle and produce more thrust.

What graphics card will it require ? I'm 100% in agreement with you - it's a money grab. 2020 is just beginning to come into it's own. They should put the work into Skyrim VI 😂
